Zachariah Partridge was born on 21 Mar 1718/19 in Medfield, Massachusetts to Eleazer Partridge and Elizabeth Allen. He died on 07 Feb 1799 in Walpole, Massachusetts. He married Esther Turner (daughter of Ebenezer Turner and Esther Clark) on 17 Feb 1741/42 in Walpole.[1] She died on 25 Apr 1798 in Walpole, if that Mercy Partridge, wife of Zachariah, be her. They resided in Walpole and Holden, Massachusetts.

Zachariah and wife (Esther) and children - Seth, Peter, Esther, and Zachariah from Walpole, 12 Apr 1761 - in Holden, 11 May 1762 - date of return of warrant to court.[2]

In 1798, the town of Walpole met to see "if the town will bear or arrange about the town's poor-" - is thus described by vote "to find them cloths and doctoring, in case of sickness." Eliphalet Clapp took Zachariah and his wife at 9 shillings a week.[3] A Zachariah Partridge was dismissed to the church in Uxbridge in 1745 from Walpole.

In his will, Eleazer Partridge, refers to his son, Zachariah Partridge, "as my son being yet young" and desired that he receive £10 upon becoming of age, and to be apprenticed "to such trade as he may choose." [4]

  1. Zachariah Partridge Jr. was born on 15 Jan 1743/44 in Walpole, Massachusetts. He married (1) Mary Houghton on 31 Aug 1772 in Holden, Massachusetts. He married (2) Marcy Whitney on 04 Aug 1779 in Holden. She died on 25 Apr 1798 in Walpole.
  2. Esther Partridge was born on 15 Jan 1744/45 in Walpole. She died on 21 Feb 1749/50 in Walpole.
  3. Jesse Partridge was born on 28 Feb 1747/48 in Walpole. He died on 29 Mar 1838 in Holden. He met Keziah Clapp (daughter of Seth Clapp and Mary Bullard). She was born on 12 May 1752 in Walpole. She died on 01 Sep 1819 in Holden.
  4. Henry Partridge was born on 07 May 1750 in Walpole.
  5. Esther Partridge was born on 09 Aug 1752 in Walpole.
  6. Abel Partridge was born on 31 Oct 1754 in Walpole. He died on 19 Sep 1757 in Walpole.
  7. Daniel Partridge was born on 23 Feb 1757 in Walpole. He died on 24 Sep 1757 in Walpole.
  8. Seth Partridge was born on 20 Mar 1759 in Walpole.
  9. Peter Partridge was born on 21 May 1761 in Walpole. He died on 19 Feb 1778. Death was recorded as occurring in camp, /@/17.[5]
  10. Asa Partridge was born about 1765. Baptism. [6]
  11. Samuel Partridge was born on 09 Jan 1768 in Walpole. He died on 21 Jan 1768 in Walpole.
