47. ZACHARIAH 4 PARTRIDGE (Zachariah, 3 Eleazer, 2 John 1) was born in Walpole, Jan. 15, 1744. He settled in Holden, Mass., where he married twice: first, Aug. 31, 1772, Mary Houghton of Holden; and second, Aug. 4, 1779, Mary Whitney of Holden. No records of the births of any children are found.
48. JESSE 4 PARTRIDGE (Zachariah, 3 Eleazer, 2 John 1) was born in Walpole, Feb, 28, 1748. He married Keziah, born in Walpole, May 12, 1752, died Sept, 1, 1819, daughter of Seth and Mary (Bullard) Clapp. They resided in Walpole for a few years after their marriage, but removed about 1775 to Holden, where they thereafter resided. He was in the Revolutionary service from that town (Mass. Archives). He died in Holden, Mch. 29, 1838, and his will was proved June 20, following. In it he mentions his children, Nancy Hubbard, Lucy Warner, Lewis, Ellis, Jesse and Seth Partridge, and five children of his deceased daughter Charlotte, wife of Asa Smith (Worcester Co. Prob., case 45558). The two oldest children were bom in Walpole, the others in Holden.

iv. LEWIS, b. Dec. 2, 1778; d. May 5, 1849; m. Rebecca Maynard; resided in Rutland, Mass., afterwards in Holden, where he d. Children: 1. Lucy, 6 b. Jan. 23, 1810. 2. Lewis, b. Mch. 11, 1812; d. young.
v. ELLIS, b. Sept. 14, 1781; resided in Holden; m. Joanna _______. Children, b. in Holden: 1. Charles Billings, 6 b. May 6, 1808. 2. Edward Emerson, b. June 1, 1810; resided in Athol. Two children. 3. Horace Green, b. Sept. 26, 1812. 4. Silas Witt, b. Dec. 3, 1816; resided in Leicester. Six children. 5. Julia Ann, d. in infancy. 6. Julia Ann, b. July 9, 1822. 7. Rufus.
