Children :

i. LYDIA, b. Dec. 27, 1728; d. Oct. 4, 1799 ; m. June 17, 1762, in Medway, Nathaniel, Jr., b. in Medway Dec. 22, 1725, d. Feb. 1, 1770, son of Nathaniel and Margaret (Mann) Whiting. They resided in Medway. Three children. (See Whiting Genealogy.)

ii. ELIZABETH, b. Nov. 19, 1730.

iii. SARAH, b. Dec. 20, 1732 ; m. May 22, 1765, Isaac Adams of Holliston.

7. iv. NATHANIEL, b. Dec. 17; 1734 ; d. Oct. 27, 1801.

v. ELISHA, b. June 3, 1736; d. July 3, 1737.

vi. ELISHA, b. June 21, 1738 ; d. May 13, 1742.

vii. DEBORAH, b. Aug. 24, 1741; m. Mar. 14, 1769, Levi Warren of Westborough.

viii. OLIVE, b. Dec. 31, 1743 ; m. July 12, 1774, Nathaniel Holbrook, Jr., of Sherborn.

5. EDWARD 3 PARTRIDGE (Nathaniel 2, William 1) was born in Medfield Sept. 14, 1710. He inherited his father’s homestead, but sold it in 1746 to John and Jonathan Wight and removed to Wrentham. In 1748 he and his wife asked dismission to the second church in Wrentham. He married, Sept. 11, 1733, Sarah Jones of Medfield.

Children, born in Medfield and Wrentham :

8. i. ELISHA, 4, b. July 8, 1734 ; d. 1787.

ii. Asa, b. May 23, 1736.

9. iii. EDWARD, b. May 23, 1738; d. Oct. 19, 1815.

iv. SIMEON, b. Apr. 4, 1741; d. 7 Jan., 1826.

v. SILAS, b. Sept. 2, 1744; d. Sept. 25, 1819 ; m. Apr. 22, 1773, Sarah Pray, b. 1745, d. Nov. 30, 1822, aged 77 yrs. They resided in Oakham. No children.

6. SETH 3 PARTRIDGE (William, 2 William 1) was born in Medfield Dec. 2, 1706, and died May 16, 1768. He married, Dec. 31, 1738, at Medfield, Sarah, born in Medfield July 11, 1708, died Dec. 19, 1780, daughter of Samuel and Deborah Ellis. They resided in Medfield, where their children were born.

i. OLIVE, 4 b. June 22, 1733 ; d. Sept., 1733.

ii. SETH, b. June 27, 1735 ; d. Oct. 31, 1736.

iii. NATHAN, b. Aug. 4, 1737; d. June 6, 1805 ; m. (1) Feb. 9, 1764, Lydia, b. Aug. 3, 1740, d. Aug. 10, 1801, dau. of James and Tabitha (Mason) Ellis; m. (2) Feb. 2, 1802, Jane, widow of Joseph Plimpton and dau. of John Mansell of Scituate, who d. 1845, aged 86. No children by either marriage.

10. iv. ABEL, b. Nov. 14, 1739 ; d. Mar. 30, 1814.

7. DEA. NATHANIEL 4 PARTRIDGE (Ephraim, 3 Nathaniel, 2 William 1) was born in Medway Dec. 17, 1734, and died there Oct. 27, 1801. He married twice : first, in Medway, May 19, 1763, Mehetable, born in Bellingham, Dec. 25, 1740, daughter of John and Mary Metcalf, who died June 29, 1798 ; and secondly, in Hopkinton, Oct. 24, 1799, Mary Leland.

His children were all by his first wife, and all but one died before reaching maturity. He resided in Medway.

i. LUCRETIA, 5 b. May 5, 1764; d. Oct. 4, 1764.

ii. EPHRAIM, b. Nov. 18, 1765 ; d. Jan. 13, 1790 ; entered Rhode Island College (Brown University) in Sept., 1787, and d. during the term in his 25th year.

iii. MEHETABEL, b. Jan. 6, 1767 ; d. Jan. 22, 1791.

iv. SARAH, b. June 19, 1770; d. Jan. 13, 1776.
