“…David b. Feb 1788, Nancy b Mar 1794… both children of Timothy Partridge and Lois his wife. In 1810, Timothy was chosen as guardian for his and Lois children over the age of 14 who still remained in the household: Harding, Nancy, and Hannah, all at their request; he also requested and received the right to be guaridan over his two younger children: Louisa and Horatio, both under 14 years of age. This guardianship is important as it introduces us to Horatio, of whom the vital records have been silent on, and little can be found about. A cordwainer specialized in making new shoes, boots, and other footwear from high-quality, soft leather. While often confused with cobblers, the roles were distinct during this period, Cobblers primarily repaired and sometimes refurbished old or worn shoes. Cordwainers crafted new shoes and boots from raw materials.

1810 Census – Franklin, Massachusetts

The 1810 census for a Timothy Partridge in Franklin, Massachusetts is problematic as there are only 3 individuals recorded in a household that should have had several more. Not positive this is this Timothy.

0-0-1-0-1 | 0-0-0-1-0

1820 Census – Medway, Massachusetts

The 1820 census of has a Timothy Partridge as 2-0-0-1-1-0 | 2-0-0-1-0 |0-2-0-0-0 | 7

This is problematic in the number of young children shown, Timothy and Genette known to have only had the two. This would indicate 4, or they had 2 other yound children in the house. Was Jenette married before Timothy?
