Malachi Partridge was born to James Partridge and Keziah Bullard in Medway, Massachusetts, 30 Nov 1731 and baptized 28 Oct 1733. He married Abigail Johnson in Charlton, Massachusetts, 7 Oct 1758 (Sturbridge VR state that the marriage intention was filed on 10 Nov 1758, after the marriage). Abigail was born to James and Susanna (Waters) Johnson on 1 Aug 1737 in Sturbridge. Malachi was in the Colonial service in 1754 (Massachusetts Archives). He settled in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, where three children were born, and later removed to Holland, Massachusetts, where he and his wife Abigail were living in 1796, with their son Isaac (Hampton Co. Deeds, vol. xxxiv, p. 161). She died in Sturbridge, 29 Apr 1808, he died 7 Dec 1821 and was buried in Old Center Cemetery in Monterey, Massachusetts.

- Marcy Partridge, born 7 Nov 1760 in Charlton, Massachusetts; married 7 Dec 1782 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, Ebenezer Rewey, son of Job and Mary (Child) Rewey, born c1750. Children.
- Thankful Partridge, born 30 Jul 1764 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts; married 18 Sep 1786 in Sturbridge, Ens. Lemuel Mason, son of Lt. Jonathan and Mary (Howard) Mason. He was born 19 Feb 1765 in Sturbridge, and died 29 Sep 1803 in Sturbridge. He is buried in Oak Ridge cemetery in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Two children.
- Abigail Partridge, born 15 Aug 1768 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Alleged to have married Joseph Wilder in 1789 and moved to Wardsboro, Vermont, but I cannot find proof that his wife is this Abigail Partridge
- Isaac Partridge, born 26 Nov 1770; settled in Holland, Massachusetts. Married 4 Jun 1795 at Monson, Celia Groves, intention filed 26 Apr 1795 in Holland, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Groves. Isaac died 31 Oct 1850 in Holland, the result of a broken neck from falling.
- Priah Partridge, born 3 Dec 1774 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, died 19 Sep 1778 in Sturbridge.
