Thaddeus Partridge (1739-1827)

Thaddeus Partridge was born to Jonathan Partridge and Anne Phipps in Medway, Massachusetts on 28 Nov 1739. He married first, 8 Dec 1763, Keziah Harding of Medway who died 11 Jul 1764 in Barre, Massachusetts; and married second, 8 Sep 1766, Thankful Adams, born in Medway, 4 Jun 1748, daughter of Eleazer and Bathsheba (Barber) Adams. They resided in Barre, Massachusetts, where their children were born. He died there in 1827. She died 6 Jan 1830.

Revolutionary War pension S. 21411 mentions both Jenett Groves and Timothy Partridge.

   1. Jonas Rice Partridge, born 1 Nov 1798; died 20 Oct 1869; married 2 Jan 1826, Prudence H. Winn, daughter of John Winn of West Boylston, Massachusetts; removed in 1831 to Jo Daviess County, Illinois; children.
   2. Alvin Adams Partridge, born 1 Feb 1801; died 18 Sep 1870, unmarried.
   3. Thomas Jefferson Partridge, born 27 Apr 1803; died 15 Feb 1855; married Nov 1830, Clara P. Parkhurst, born 28 Jun 1809, daughter of Roland Parkhurst of Hubbardston, Massachusetts; removed to Whitside County, Illinois, in 1838; two children.
   4. Sarah Nourse Partridge, born 27 May 1805; died 9 Jul 1866; married Dec 1841, John Wilder Ross, born 13 Oct 1812, died 28 Jan 1887, son of Charles F. and Huldah (Wilder) Ross, of Wendell, Massachusetts; resided in Wendell; several children.
   5. Mary Hall Partridge, born 4 May 1807; died 8 May 1871, unmarried.
   6. James Madison Partridge, born 30 Aug 1809; died 10 Aug 1884; married Mar 1837, Louisa Spooner, born 15 Dec 1814, died 28 Apr 1889, daughter of Lucius and Mary (Woodis) Spooner, of Oakham, Massachusetts; resided in Worcester, Massachusetts; five children.

   10. John Franklin Partridge, born 10 Nov 1820; married 14 Nov 1853, Anna M. E. Barton, born 12 May 1839, daughter of John William and Mary Eliza (Allen) Barton, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; removed in 1860 to Owego, New York, where he has since resided; ten children.

   1. William Partridge, born 1 Mar 1801; died 1 Mar 1862; married Betsey Powers, born 10 May 1804, died 6 Mar 1871, daughter of Nathaniel and Esther (Johnson) Powers; removed to Wisconsin, about 1827; five children.
   2. Nancy Partridge, born 9 Dec 1808; died 22 Mar 1875, unmarried.
   3. Ezra Partridge, born Feb 1812; died Apr 1880 in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he resided; married Evelyn Howe, who died June 1881; no children.
   4. George A. Partridge, born 22 Nov 1814; died 9 Aug 1886; married 26 Jun 1850, Caroline Simonds, born Wilmington, Vermont, 10 May 1823, died 19 May 1883, daughter of Alpheus and Nancy (Conant) Simonds; resided in Worcester, Massachusetts; no children.
   5. Micajah Reed Partridge, born 4 Nov 1818; died 30 Apr 1887; married 3 May 1850, Mary Jane Howe, born Berlin, Vermont, 7 Jan 1822, daughter of David B. and Lucy (Barker) Howe; resided in Worcester, Massachusetts; no children.
4. Thankful Partridge, born 21 Mar 1774; married first, Forbes Oliver, son of William and Anna (Forbes) Oliver, of Barre, Massachusetts. One child. She married second, Amos Herrick. No children. She resided in Barre, Massachusetts.
5. Keziah Partridge, born 12 May 1776; died 10 Sep 1841; married 4 Apr 1798, Capt. Isaac Dennis, born 26 Jan 1775, died 26 Sep 1855. They resided in Barre, Massachusetts. Children.
6. Patty Partridge, born 19 Feb 1779; died 24 Oct 1853; married 8 Nov 1804, Edmund Bangs of Barre, Massachusetts.
