Stephen Partridge was born to James Partridge and Keziah Bullard in Medway, Massachusetts, Jul 10, 1746. He married in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, February, 1772, Esther Emerson, born there Jun 14, 1751, daughter of Thomas and Abigail (Marsh) Emerson. They resided in Medway until 1775, when they removed to Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, remaining there until 1779, when they migrated to Maine, in the Kennebec river region, a short time later removing to Rochester, Vermont, and from there to Wilmington, Essex County, New York, later going, in 1815, to Ohio, and settling near Columbus. Thaddeus Partridge was born to Jonathan Partridge and Anne Phipps in Medway, Massachusetts on 28 Nov 1739. He married first, 8 Dec 1763, Keziah Harding of Medway who died 11 Jul 1764 in Barre, Massachusetts; and married second, 8 Sep 1766, Thankful Adams, born in Medway, 4 Jun 1748, daughter of Eleazer and Bathsheba (Barber) Adams. They resided in Barre, Massachusetts, where their children were born. He died there in 1827. She died 6 Jan 1830. Revolutionary War pension S. 21411 mentions both Jenett Groves and Timothy Partridge. Jonathan Partridge (1693-1758)

Jonathan Partridge was born to John Partridge and Elizabeth Adams in Medfield (now Millis), Massachusetts, Nov 25, 1693. He drew land in Medway, Massachusetts, in 1713, and was selectman there in 1738. His farm lay about a mile north of Medway village. In 1742, he sold this place to his brother James, and removed to Sherborn, Massachusetts. He resided there about ten years, and then removed to Barre, Rutland District, Massachusetts, where he died about 1758. He married three times: first, 13 Nov 1717, Elizabeth Learned, born in Framingham, Massachusetts, 27 Jul 1696, daughter of Isaac and Sarah (Bigelow) Learned.
