James Partridge (1730-1821)

James Partridge was born to James Partridge and Keziah Bullard in Medway, Massachusetts, 10 Oct 1730. He married Abigail _______, who died 24 Mar 1798, aged 65 years. He settled in Boylston, Massachusetts, and died in West Boylston in 1821.

3. Ozias Partridge, born 18 Jun 1763; married Zipporah _______; resided in Boylston, Massachusetts for a time, then probably removed away. Children :
   1. Ozias Partridge, married Nancy Whitman of Ashburnham, Massachusetts; had child and perhaps others,
      1. Catharine Cushing Partridge, born 25 Aug 1808, at Boylston, Massachusetts,
   2. Salmon Partridge, born 26 Aug 1792, in Boylston; died in Holden, Massachusetts, 7 Sep 1827; married 24 Nov 1814, in Holden, Susanna Dryden, born there 5 Jan 1793, daughter of Artemas and Susanna (Perry) Dryden; four children, born Holden.
4. Asahel Partridge, born 7 Mar 1766; died Nov 1839; married 11 Dec 1798, in Boylston, Massachusetts, Polly (Knight) Butterfleid, born Phillipston, Massachusetts, 1771, died in Holden, Massachusetts, 25 Mar 1844, daughter of Daniel Knight; resided in Boylston, where their children were born, and later removed to Holden. Children :
   1. Horace Partridge, 21 Jul 1799; died 25 Sep 1800.
   2. Horace Partridge, born 13 Nov 1801; died 30 Sep 1862; married Nov 1828, Sarah Abigail Morse, born Stow, 18 Jun 1807, died 9 Mar 1888, daughter of Sylvanus and Sarah (Moore) Morse; resided in Holden until 1846, and after that in Worcester, Massachusetts; seven children.
   3. Adeline Partridge, born 1803; died 9 Jan 1844; married 4 Nov 1827, in Holden, Jason Knowlton; resided in Holden; five children.

James Partridge, born 20 Oct 1770; died 20 Apr 1863; married (1) 4 Feb 1796, Polly Maynard, born 1776, died 30 Sep 1796; married (2) 27 Sep 1798, in Sterling, Massachusetts, Ruth Keyes, born Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, 12 Jul 1770, died 18 Apr 1851, daughter of Simeon and Lucy (Temple) Keyes; resided in Boylston, Massachusetts. Children:
   1. Levi Partridge, born 25 Sep 1796; died 11 Oct 1796.
   2. Simeon Partridge, born 6 Jul 1799; died 20 Feb 1866; married (1) 5 Dec 1831, Mary Keyes, daughter of Asa and Sarah (Thurston) Keyes, of Sterling, who died 18 Apr 1836; married (2) 30 Nov 1837, Sarah G. Hartshorn, born Boylston, 16 Feb 1811, died Worcester, Massachusetts, Aug, 1890, daughter of Ebenezer and Betty (Greenwood) Hartshorn; resided in Boylston and later in Worcester; six children.
   3. Polly Partridge, born 17 Aug 1800; died 26 Jan 1813.
   4. Abigail Partridge, born 6 Sep 1802; married (pub. 20 Nov 1825) William Dodds Chenery, born Boylston, Massachusetts, 1 May 1796, son of Thaddeus and Polly (Dodds) Chenery.
   5. James Henry Partridge, born Apr, 1808; died 25 Feb 1809.
   6. Lucy Ann Partridge, born 29 Sep 1813; died 14 May 1860; unmarried.
