Joseph Partridge (1747-1810)

Joseph Partridge was born to Benjamin Partridge and Sarah Allen in Bellingham, Massachusetts, Jul 24, 1747. He married, April 13, 1775, Catharine Richardson, born in Medway, Massachusetts, Apr 9, 1753, died Jul 13, 1828, daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Richardson. They resided in Bellingham, where their children were born. He died May 24, 1810.

Liberty Partridge, born Jan 13, 1776; died Aug 24, 1867; married (1) Jan 15, 1799, Submit Miller, born Winchendon, Massachusetts, Jul 7, 1777, died Mar 1, 1813; married (2) Jan 31, 1814, Rachel Holbrook, born Bellingham, Jan 17, 1777, died Oct 29, 1861. They resided in Westminster, Massachusetts. Children:
   1. Cata Partridge, 6 born Dec 1, 1799; married Joel Flagg, born Grafton, Massachusetts, Jun 7, 1788. They resided in Hubbardston and Westminster, Massachusetts. Eleven children.
   2. Dana Partridge, born Mar 19, 1801; died Oct 24, 1801.
   3. Eda Partridge, born Aug 27, 1805; married Timothy Ellis Jones, born Franklin, Massachusetts, Jan 1, 1799, son of John and Sarah (Ellis) Jones. They resided in Franklin. She died, and he married (2) Aug 16, 1847, Eliza F. Feel of Bellingham. Three children by first wife.
   4. Dorinda Partridge, born Aug 27, 1805; died Aug 17, 1851; married Oct 7, 1829, Almond Coleman of Hubbardston, who died in Gardner, Massachusetts, Jul 15, 1864. Eight children.
   5. Alfred Partridge, born Aug 17, 1807; married Chloe Blake of East Medway, Massachusetts. Four children.
   6. Amos Partridge, born Jun 23, 1809; died April 23, 1883; married Mar 27, 1836, Melita Reynolds of Charlton, Massachusetts. They resided in Westminster. Four children.
   7. Samantha Partridge, born Feb 13, 1811; died Oct 16, 1881; married Dec 30, 1830, Preston Ellis, born Bellingham, Oct 28, 1803, son of Timothy and Deborah (Partridge) Ellis, who died Nov 19, 1889. Five children.
   8. Dinah Holbrook Partridge, born Apr 26, 1815; married George W. Johnson of Westminster. Three children.
   9. Liberty Partridge, born May 14, 1817; died Dec 21, 1832.
   10. Kendrick Partridge, born Jun 22, 1819; died Aug 24, 1853; married Emerency Perham of Royalton, Massachusetts. One child.
2. Levi Partridge, born Apr 28, 1777; died in Feb 1837; married Susanna McInter. Resided in Charlton. Children:
   1. Lucinda Partridge, born 10 Feb 1805; married Ephraim Willard, son of Ephraim Willard, on 24 Apr 1825 in Charlton.
   2. Malite Partridge, born 16 Nov 1808; married Willard Johnson on 01 Apr 1832 in Charlton.
   3. Izana Partridge, born 01 Apr 1811.
   4. Sukey Partridge, born 08 Aug 1813.

4. Amos Partridge, born Dec 21, 1781; died Dec 30, 1861; married Nov 24, 1819, Clarissa (Hill) Slocomb, born Oct 18, 1783, in Bellingham, daughter of Aaron and Sally (Coombs) Hill and widow of Asa Slocomb. She died Jan 12, 1877. They resided in Bellingham. Children:
   • Amos Partridge, 6 born Jul 15, 1820; died Feb 21, 1875, unmarried.
   • Clarissa Partridge, born Aug 5, 1822.
   • Asa Partridge, born Dec 28, 1823; died Mar 2, 1865; married Jan 4, 1859, Jemima A. Fairbanks, born Apr 9, 1829. They resided in Bellingham. Two children.
   • Charles Partridge, born Dec 12, 1827; died Mar 23, 1880; married Nov 27, 1851, Sophronia M. Graham, born Nov 30, 1831. Two children.

6. Joseph Partridge, born Oct 13, 1785; died Aug 24, 1814; married Mar 8, 1812, Lucy Cook, born Bellingham, Feb 7, 1784, died Dec 3, 1829, daughter of Daniel, Jr., and Charlotte (Legg) Cook. They resided in Bellingham. Children:
   1. Lucy Partridge, born Dec 11, 1812; died Jun 29, 1837.
   2. Joseph Partridge, born Mar 14, 1815; died Sep 2, 1866; m: Lydiette Cushman. They resided in Bellingham. Ten children.
7. Benjamin Richardson Partridge, born Sep 6, 1787; died Apr 17, 1873; married Dec 18, 1834, Bathsheba Jones, born Franklin, Apr 9, 1800, died May 1, 1882, daughter of John and Sarah (Ellis) Jones. They resided in Bellingham. No children.
8. Simon Peter Partridge, born Feb 5, 1790; died Oct 13, 1797.
9. Simeon Partridge, born May 17, 1791; died Oct 9, 1797.
10. Philip Partridge, born Dec 1, 1792; died Mar 10, 1869; married Dec 27, 1821, Athina Johnson, born Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Jul 29, 1798, died Mar 7, 1879, daughter of Sylvanus and Mary (Smith) Johnson. They resided in Bellingham until 1824, and afterwards, until their deaths, in Franklin. Children:
    1. Catharine Adams Partridge, born Jan 18, 1823; married Apr 16, 1845, Seth Inman, a widower. Two children.
    2. Susan Johnson Partridge, born Nov 7, 1824; married Oct 12, 1848, Emerson Newell Bullard, born Mar 5, 1823, son of Elisha, Jr., and Rena (Fisher) Bullard. Three children.
    3. Irene Bichardson Partridge, born Jul 18, 1826; died Mar 9, 1901; married Oct 1, 1851, Asa Pond, born Petersham, Jul 7, 1822, son of Partridge and Lucretia (Holbrook) Pond. They resided in Milford. Two sons.
    4. Julia Ann Partridge, born Dec 20, 1829; married Sep 22, 1852, Aldrich Daniels. Nine children.
