John Partridge was born to John Partridge and Anna Pond in Wrentham, Massachusetts, 2 Jun 1715. He divided with his son John most of his father’s real estate, and was executor of the latter’s will [1]Suffolk Co. Prob. Rec, vol. li., p. 781. He married twice: first, 10 Nov 1737, Abigail Thayer, born in Mendon, 22 Aug 1718, daughter of Samuel and Mary (Sampson) Thayer. She died 11 Mar 1774, and he married second, 8 Dec 1774, Catharine Holbrook of Mendon, Massachusetts, who survived him. He died 21 Dec 1791. John Allen, of Franklin, Massachusetts, was admitted administrator on his estate, 17 Apr 1792 [2]Suffolk Co. Prob. Rec, vol. xci., p. 272. The total valuation of his real and personal property was £730. 7s. 5d. He resided in Wrentham, Massachusetts (now Franklin), where his children were born.

- John Partridge, born 16 Oct 1738; married 2 Jun 1763, Abigail Leland, born Holliston, Massachusetts, Jul 1741, dau. of Samuel and Dinah (White) Leland. He died 14 May 1764; and she died 26 May 1764. No children.
- Asa Partridge, born 24 Jul 1740; died 10 Dec 1746.
- Joseph Partridge, born 26 Oct 1742; died 10 Oct 1746.
- Samuel Partridge, born 15 Apr 1744; died 15 Apr 1744.
- Stephen Partridge, born 15 Apr 1744; died 15 Apr 1744.
- Abigail Partridge, born 26 Oct 1745; died 20 Feb 1746.
- Micah Partridge, born 20 Dec 1746; died 20 Dec 1740.
- Abigail Partridge, born 23 Jan 1754; married 11 Jul 1771, John Allen of Wrentham, Massachusetts (now Franklin), where they resided. She died 3 Feb 1815; and he died 24 Jul 1815. Several children, among whom Ellery Allen, born 10 Mar 1783, married 2 Dec 1800, Experience Partridge, dau. of Job Partridge (45).
