Elisha Partridge was born to Edward Partridge and Sarah Jones in Medfield, Massachusetts, 8 July 1734. He married twice first, in Wrentham, Massachusetts, 17 Mar. 1756, Dorcas Pond, born there 20 June 1740, died 2 Feb. 1778, daughter of Israel and Dorcas (Clark) Pond; and secondly, in Wrentham, 28 Jan. 1779, Sarah Fales. Elisha resided in Wrentham (Franklin) until about 1780, when he removed to Thomaston, Maine, where he died in 1787. He enlisted from Franklin, Massachusetts, in 1775-1776, in the Revolutionary army.

  1. Simeon Partridge, born 19 May 1758 in Wrentham, Massachusetts; married 27 Dec. 1795, in Franklin, Massachusetts, Achsah Metcalf; was one of the early settlers of Croydon, New Hampshire, where he was selectman, 1797. Revolutionary soldier, 1779. [1]See Wheeler’s History of Croydon, N. H.
  2. Zibiah Partridge, born 18 June 1760 in Wrentham.
  3. Judith Partridge, born 17 Mar. 1762 in Wrentham.
  4. Miriam Partridge, born 25 Aug. 1764 in Wrentham; married in Franklin, 16 Oct. 1786, Jeremiah Pratt.
  5. Dorcas Partridge, born 31 Mar. 1767 in Wrentham.
  6. Elisha Partridge, born 1 Jan. 1770 in Wrentham; settled in Croydon; married Rachel Winter; had three sons : 1. Elisha Partridge, who had four sons, Harrison Partridge, George Partridge, Simeon Partridge, and Willard Partridge, and six daughters. 2. Simeon Partridge, who died when a young man. 3. Welcome Pratt Partridge, who had four sons, Wallace Partridge, Charles Partridge, Frank Partridge, and Willis Partridge, and four daughters, one of whom, Leila Partridge, married Edward Fisher and resided (1892) in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
  7. Elibeus Partridge, born 14 Nov. 1777 in Wrentham.

Seavey William Partridge, born 21 May 1812. 4. Eliza Partridge, born 21 Oct. 1815. 5. James Partridge, born 9 Jan. 1818; died 12 Mar. 1903; married 10 Dec. 1838, Adeline Harrington; resided at Woburn, Massachusetts; three children: Laura J. Partridge, born 27 Feb. 1840; James Lester Partridge, born 12 May 1844; Francis Adams Partridge, born 12 Sept. 1852. 6. Mary Jane Partridge, born 10 July 1820. 7. Abigail Ann Partridge, born 29 Feb. 1828.
  2. Sarah Partridge Partridge, born 4 July 1784 in Thomaston.
