Elisha Partridge (1716- )

Elisha Partridge was born to Eleazer Partridge and Sarah Taylor in Dedham Massachusetts (now Walpole), Mar. 16, 1716. He settled in Stoughton, Massachusetts, where, on Mar. 1, 1738, he purchased 100 acres of land of Jedediah Morse [1]Suffolk Co. Deeds, Lib. lvii., p. 193. He married, Dec 11, 1740, in Stoughton, Hannah Wellman of Norton, Massachusetts. He was in the Colonial service, from Stoughton, in 1757 [2]Massachusetts Archives. The births of four children are recorded in Stoughton. The family disappears after his Colonial service.

  1. Sarah Partridge, 5 born Oct 25, 1741.
  2. Rachel Partridge, born Oct 24, 1743.
  3. Hannah Partridge, born Jul 12, 1745.
  4. Ezra Partridge, born Oct 25, 1747.
