Timothy Partridge (1727-1787)

Timothy Partridge was born to Benoni Partridge and Mehetabel Wheelock in West Medway, Massachusetts, 18 Jan 1727. He married, 15 Jan 1755, Abigail Barber, born in Medway, Massachusetts, 27 Mar 1782, daughter of Joseph and Abigail (Hawes) Barber. She died 22 Feb 1809. He received one half of his father’s homestead in West Medway, Massachusetts, where he always resided. He was in the Colonial and Revolutionary service ^[1]Mass. Archives. He died 18 Sep 1787; and his will, proved 2 Oct 1787, names his widow Abigail, his sons Samuel and Elijah, and his daughter Eunice Mann ^[2]Suffolk Co. Probate Rec, vol. lxxxvi., p. 523.

   1. Abigail Partridge (Nabby), born 14 Nov 1782.
   2. Silence Partridge, born 9 Oct 1784.
   3. Zillah Partridge, born 27 May 1786.
   4. Polly Partridge, born 11 May 1789; married Clarke Pike.
   5. Betsey Partridge, born 11 Nov 1791.
   6. David Partridge, born 31 Mar 1795; died 19 Apr 1850; married Sarah Haskell of Barre, Massachusetts, born 20 Jan 1799, died 26 Sep 1884; resided at Paxton until 1843, when he removed to Worcester, Massachusetts; six children.
   7. John Partridge, born 1 Jun 1799; died 30 Jul 1872; resided in Paxton; three children.
   8. Sarah Partridge, born 9 Jan 1801.
2. Eunice Partridge, born 15 Mar 1758; died 9 Oct 1828; married 6 Mar 1783, Ralph Mann of Walpole, Massachusetts. He died 12 May 1820, aged 92.
3. Elijah Partridge, born 4 Apr 1762; died 9 Sep 1805; inherited his father’s homestead in West Medway, Massachusetts, and resided there. He married (1) Keziah W. Curtis, who died 16 Jan 1795; married (2) Catharine Clark who died 18 Jun 1834. Children:
   1. Rachel Partridge, born 7 Dec 1785; married Daniel Leland, Jr., of Sherborn, Massachusetts.
   2. Leah Partridge, born 7 Jan 1788; died 9 Jan 1788.
   3. Timothy Partridge, born 14 Mar 1789; died 13 Jun 1827; married Charlotte Adams, daughter of Jonathan Adams, who died 4 Dec 1834, in Medway, where they resided; seven children.
   4. Clark Partridge, born 16 May 1799.
   5. Catharine Partridge, born 6 Feb 1801.
   6. Elijah Partridge, born 29 Jan 1805; married (1) 11 Dec 1839, Ruth Adams, daughter of Jotham Adams, who was born 19 Aug 1811, and died 29 Jan 1856; married (2) 3 Oct 1867, Lucy G. Dodge, born Burnham, Maine. 25 Mar 1832; resided in Medway; one child by second wife.
4. Zillah Partridge, born 12 Mar 1764; died 12 Oct 1783.
5. David Partridge, born 30 Dec 1765; died 25 Sep 1783.
