Samuel Partridge was born in Medfield, Massachusetts, 22 Feb 1671, to John Partridge and Magdalen Bullard. He drew land in the Black Swamp in 1702 [1]Jameson’s History of Medway, p. 40.. His lot lay along the Charles river in the south part of this tract, which, in 1713, became the town of Medway, Massachusetts, and is now Rockville. Eleazer Partridge (1664-1736)

Eleazer Partridge was born in Medfield, Massachusetts, 20 Feb 1664 to John Partridge and Magdalene Bullard. He inherited his father’s homestead in Medfield, and resided there until about 1723, when he purchased a tract of land in Bellingham, Massachusetts, and removed there. This property was in the vicinity of what is now North Bellingham, which for a century and a half was known as Partridgetown, and was still so designated by the oldest inhabitants until the 20th century. William Partridge of Medfield, Mass., and His Descendants

In 1909 George Homer Partridge (GHP) published his second genealogy of the Partridge family in the New England Historical and Genealogical Society Register and titled it William Partridge of Medfield, Mass., and His Descendants. This genealogy was published in the January 1909 edition of NEHGS Register (vol. LXIII) pages 90-95. This same genealogy was subsequently published in 1909 by the Press of David Clapp & Son in Boston, Massachusetts in book format, being an exact reprint of the original article. GHP had previously published his Partridge genealogy. Descendants of John Partridge of Medfield, Mass in 1904. John Partridge was the brother to William Partridge.

Abel Partridge 1739-1814

Abel Partridge was born to Seth Partridge and Sarah Ellis in Medfield, Massachusetts, Nov. 14, 1739. He sold out his rights in his father’s estate to his brother Nathan Partridge. His wife’s name was Miriam _______. She died in 1799, “after having been supported by the town.” Abel was also a public charge, and died 30 Mar. 1814. He married twice first, in Wrentham, Massachusetts, 17 Mar. 1756, Dorcas Pond, born there 20 June 1740, died 2 Feb. 1778, daughter of Israel and Dorcas (Clark) Pond; and secondly, in Wrentham, 28 Jan. 1779, Sarah Fales. Edward Partridge (1710-)

Edward Partridge was born to Nathaniel Partridge and Lydia Wight in Medfield, Massachusetts, 14 Sept. 1710. He inherited his father’s homestead, but sold it in 1746 to John and Jonathan Wight and removed to Wrentham, Massachusetts. In 1748 he and his wife asked dismission to the second church in Wrentham. He married, 11 Sept. 1733, Sarah Jones of Medfield. Neither will nor probate record can be found for either Edward or Sarah in CT, MA, NH, NY, or RI. Ephraim Partridge was born to Nathaniel Partridge and Lydia Wight in Medfield, Massachusetts, 25 Feb. 1701-2, and died in Medway, Massachusetts, 7 Feb. 1770. He married, 22 Mar. 1727-8, in Medway, Lydia Harding, born in Medfield 14 Dec. 1701, died in Medway 15 May 1772, daughter of Abraham and Sarah Harding.
