Reuben Partridge was born to Jonathan Partridge and Anne Phipps in Medway, Massachusetts on 21 Nov 1741. He married, 6 Feb 1766, Mary Perry, born in Sherborn, Massachusetts, 2 Apr 1745, daughter of Moses and Deborah (Ivery) Perry. They resided in Sherborn until 1789, when they removed to Gardner, Massachusetts, where they resided thereafter [1]Herrick’s Hist, of Gardner. All but the youngest of their children were born in Sherborn. Moses Partridge (1733-1804)

Moses Partridge was born to Benoni Partridge and Mehitabel Wheelock in West Medway, Massachusetts, 28 Aug 1733. He inherited one half of his father’s homestead in West Medway and resided there until 1801, when he sold the place to his son Simeon, and removed to Upton, Massachusetts, where he died 6 Oct 1804. He was in the Colonial and Revolutionary service [1]Mass. Archives. He married, 9 Sep 1755, Rachel Thayer, daughter of Ziba Thayer of Uxbridge, Massachusetts. She died 6 Sep 1812. Eli Partridge was born to Benoni Partridge and Mehitabel Wheelock in West Medway, Massachusetts, 3 Jun 1729. Me married Rachel Sheffield, born 30 Mar 1732, daughter of Nathaniel and Mary Sheffield, of Sherborn, Massachusetts. He settled in Holliston, Massachusetts, about 1751 or 1752, but soon removed to Milford, Massachusetts [1]Ballou’s Hist, of Milford. Preserved Partridge was born to Benoni Partridge and Mehetabel Wheelock in Medfield, Massachusetts (now West Medway, Massachusetts), 13 Mar 1709. He married, 10 Nov 1787, Catharine Armstrong, and soon after settled in Holliston, Massachusetts. He was also in Milford, Massachusetts, as early as 1750, and as late as 1754 [1]Ballou’s Hist, of Milford. He was in the colonial service’ in 1755 [2]Mass. Archives. Jonathan Partridge (1693-1758)

Jonathan Partridge was born to John Partridge and Elizabeth Adams in Medfield (now Millis), Massachusetts, Nov 25, 1693. He drew land in Medway, Massachusetts, in 1713, and was selectman there in 1738. His farm lay about a mile north of Medway village. In 1742, he sold this place to his brother James, and removed to Sherborn, Massachusetts. He resided there about ten years, and then removed to Barre, Rutland District, Massachusetts, where he died about 1758. He married three times: first, 13 Nov 1717, Elizabeth Learned, born in Framingham, Massachusetts, 27 Jul 1696, daughter of Isaac and Sarah (Bigelow) Learned.

Samuel Partridge (1671-1752)

Samuel Partridge was born in Medfield, Massachusetts, 22 Feb 1671, to John Partridge and Magdalen Bullard. He drew land in the Black Swamp in 1702 [1]Jameson’s History of Medway, p. 40.. His lot lay along the Charles river in the south part of this tract, which, in 1713, became the town of Medway, Massachusetts, and is now Rockville. Abel Partridge (1765-1826)

Abel Partridge’s introduction to Colonial life in New England was less than desirable when the Medfield, Massachusetts, town clerk, John Baxter, as copied by Henry Adams in 1850, inscribed upon the town records that: Supposed seems to be the favored method employed by Medfield town clerks to document upon the town records that a couple had a child out of wedlock. It differs though with how Josiah Partridge was listed. His claim was to be a “reputed” son of Josiah Partridge. Abel Partridge 1739-1814

Abel Partridge was born to Seth Partridge and Sarah Ellis in Medfield, Massachusetts, Nov. 14, 1739. He sold out his rights in his father’s estate to his brother Nathan Partridge. His wife’s name was Miriam _______. She died in 1799, “after having been supported by the town.” Abel was also a public charge, and died 30 Mar. 1814. Elisha Partridge was born to Edward Partridge and Sarah Jones in Medfield, Massachusetts, 8 July 1734. He married twice first, in Wrentham, Massachusetts, 17 Mar. 1756, Dorcas Pond, born there 20 June 1740, died 2 Feb. 1778, daughter of Israel and Dorcas (Clark) Pond; and secondly, in Wrentham, 28 Jan. 1779, Sarah Fales. Elisha resided in Wrentham (Franklin) until about 1780, when he removed to Thomaston, Maine, where he died in 1787. He enlisted from Franklin, Massachusetts, in 1775-1776, in the Revolutionary army.
